Epworth Eastern Hospital is located in Box Hill (about 14 kilometres from the CBD), a significant regional hub for the middle and outer eastern suburbs. Completed in 2005, the hospital accommodates a ground-floor reception, radiology and café, ten operating theatres and 223 surgical and medical beds. The basement car park can accommodate 284 vehicles. The property represents a significant investment for the Trust and establishes a relationship with one of Australia’s leading healthcare providers.

In December 2014 due to capacity constraints at the existing site the Trust acquired additional properties adjacent to Epworth Eastern for A$3.5m. This acquisition will support the master plan vision for extension at the site over the medium term.
